Although Rickey and his lovely wife Debria are both natives of California, they now call San Antonio, TX, home. Rickey has always been creative, thinking of ways to make a change not only for his family but also for society. One day he came across an article discussing the candle market's increase to a $3.2 billion industry. In this same article, it went on to discuss the issues with candle safety and the hundreds of civilians that are affected by fire injuries, deaths, and property damages all as a result of having no candle safety measures in place. Studies have shown that the most common cause was a candle left unattended. For Rickey, the simplest solution to this problem was the best solution. His focus became candle safety and reducing the chance of candle fires happening. He would spend several years and countless hours in an RV eating noodles and hotdogs to pursue his dream of being an innovator. He has secured two patents and has several others pending to help consumers with candle safety issues. The “Halo” has a broad base for a lower center of gravity, preventing the device from falling and taking the candle with it. This feature also increases the distance between the candle and flammable objects like curtains. Rickey also wanted this device to be practical for everyday use, so he added features like Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music, six ambience lights for mood, and pre-installed rechargeable lithium batteries. Rickey has received several accolades for his invention, including the “Madame CJ Walker Award,” an appearance on the Master P Show, and the Great Day SA. He is excited about what the future holds for Rzad International and hopes that his inventions will become household names for families around the world for a long time.

Once he created the newer version,the "Halo,” we had to get it! We have taken the device to the beach and camping, and we love that we can play music from our phones through the wireless Bluetooth speakers. This product is excellent! I like that it can be used in multiple ways. You have a candle holder, mood lights, wireless Bluetooth, and a candle extinguisher all in one. The volume on the device is loud and clear, and it even has the right amount of bass! The Bluetooth function is easy to set up and use; the settings on the device are foolproof, and you can set the lights on rotation or to one specific color with the click of a button. I like that the fan bar blows over the candle until the wick is cooled, thus preventing the wick from smoking once extinguished. All in all this is an amazing product, and we love it!

I have always loved burning candles. It just sets the mood for various occasions or for simply relaxing. I don’t know how many times I have left my house and wondered if I blew the candle out. Now I can leave with peace of mind. The aroma of the Rzad Candle is delightful and can be smelled in large rooms.
